ADF Recruitment is childs play

Sunday 9th April, 2006
The ADF has followed the lead by the US Military machine by releasing it's own defence force version by releasing a flight simulator for recruitment. Called "ADF: Aviator", it takes you through Army/Navy/RAAF and it plays quite well. I downloaded the whole thing (139MBs). It's in much better taste though than the US military version, where you can go around and shoot people'n stuff.

ADF Aviator
ADF Aviator, F/18 Hornet is just one of 3 aircraft you can pilot.

So, what's the difference with the ADF ?

The ADF's version is a little more removed from reality and is not so direct in de-sensitising it's young audience from the fact that you are training to kill people, up-close-and-personal. Developed by Visualjazz, it's pretty slick considering it was sponsored by the federal government tax-payer. But in the end it's just a military application, if only the same investment could be done for Medical treatment, or running city-wide transport networks, or some other creative society building pursuit....
