If you "eva" wanted to get up close to Eva Longoria, now is your chance, Maxim online, in a bout of shameless selfish promotion have managed to get this image onto google earth. They claim it's viewable by satellites, but really it's a good trick, some guy in a helicopter took the photo and they have paid google to insert the image into the google earth database in an effort to make it look seamless, but as you can see at the edges of the area, the image has been super-imposed over existing google earth images. If you look at the enlarged view at a higher altitude it's quite obvious. They still went to the trouble of making the poster.

Advertising corrupts pure ideas. More smoke and mirrors.

This presents a new frontier and I believe a sinister turn for Google. Planetary advertising. Google Earth was a revolution in the GIS industry for it's revolutionary search engine to see the planet and places in an un-paralleled way.

I have no problem with Eva, (would any breathing male have a problem with her ?). What's more sinister is this sort of development in the advertising space (pardon the pun), will we now see the earth as a big billboard across vast expanses promoting the latest online casino ?

Whatever happend to "don't be evil"".. it means making sure that our core values inform our conduct in all aspects of our lives as Google employees.."?
